Everything You Need to Know Before Your First Mommy-and-Me Workout Class

Let’s break this down so nothing feels overwhelming at your first Stroller Strides Class..

1. Sign Up for Your Free Class

Start by claiming your three free mommy-and-me workout classes this February or registering for a mommy‑and‑me meetup. This locks in your spot and gives you access to our full schedule in the FIT4MOM app.

Once you sign up, a real‑life mom (hi, Anna! 👋) will personally text you.

She’ll help you schedule your first Stroller Strides class, get logged into the FIT4MOM app, and answer any questions you have!

You’re never figuring this out alone — we walk you through it.

2. Pack the Essentials

Think of this like packing for an outing—with a side of squats.

For baby:

  • Stroller and baby carrier

  • Snacks or bottle

  • Diapers and wipes

  • Sunscreen or weather‑appropriate layers

  • A few small toys (although we do a great job keeping them entertained!)

For you:

  • Water

  • Yoga mat or towel (for ground work)

  • A small snack if you need it

We’ll provide all the equipment you’ll need during the mommy-and-me workout class—just show up and move.

3. Fuel Up

Feed yourself and your baby before class if you can. A full belly (for both of you) and some hydration go a long way toward a smoother experience.

Our mommy-and-me workout classes are built for real mom life, and feeding during class is always welcome, so bust out the bottle, breast, or snacks whenever. You’re in good company!

4. Get Dressed for Movement

Choose comfortable, breathable workout clothes.

  • Supportive sneakers are a must

  • A good sports bra = non‑negotiable

  • Dress for the weather—we’re outdoors!

If we happen to move your first class indoors for weather-related reasons, we’ll let you know.

5. Get In Touch!

The night before your first mommy-and-me workout class, another real life mom will reach out to you—this will be the same mama who meets you when you arrive at your first class.

Ask her all the things. She’s a Stroller Strides pro and truly wants you to have an amazing first experience.

6. Arrive 10–15 Minutes Early

This gives you time to park, set up your stroller, meet your instructor, and take a breath before class begins.

Be sure to check out our location‑specific details ahead of time, as each location has slightly different parking and meetup instructions.

Don't have time for all that? No worries! We'll let you know exactly where to park and spot us!

What Happens During a Mommy-and-Me Workout Class?

Let’s take the mystery out of it. Here’s what a Stroller Strides class actually looks like.

1. Arrival and Set-Up

You’ll park, unload your stroller, and be greeted by a friendly instructor or staff member.

Can’t find us? Running late? Text or call the mom you were chatting with last night - she’ll help!

2. The Mommy-and-Me Workout

  • Warm‑Up: Each Stroller Strides class starts with gentle warm‑up and a quick icebreaker question—because community matters here.
  • Walk or Jog: We get moving together with your littles riding along in the stroller (or carrier!).
  • Cardio & Strength Stations: You’ll rotate through 4–5 stations featuring a cardio move and squats, lunges, push‑ups, rows, and other functional movements.
  • Walk or Jog Between Stations: Movement continues between stations to keep your heart rate (and chatting!) up.
  • Core & Restore: We finish together in a circle with core work and stretching—celebrating what our bodies just did.

3. And What About the Kiddos?

They’re absolutely part of the experience.

During our mommy-and-me workout classes, we keep kiddos entertained with:

  • Songs and music

  • Simple activities

  • Fun interactions with instructors and other moms

  • Bubbles (a crowd favorite!)

  • Books

  • And more!

Some kids nap, some snack, some watch — all of it is welcome.

After Class: Stay, Connect, + Belong

Stick around for our playgroups and mommy‑and‑me meetups—or simply hang out at the park with us.

Week-after-week, this is where friendships form and moms find their people.

Before you head out, hop back into the app and register for your next mommy-and-me workout class — and if you need help, our staff is happy to walk you through it.

You showed up. That’s the hardest part — and we’re so glad you’re here.
